Delia deposited the three of them on a little island. They had traveled underwater for a long time, but Delia's air bubble had kept them dry the whole way. Cora's clothes had even dried by the time they reached the beach.
"So," she said, once they had sat down on a fallen palm tree. "What's next? Do we wait to be rescued or what?" She thought she spotted a ship on the horizon, and she hoped it wasn't the Dutchmann. "I know," she started when Delia didn't answer. "Let's tell stories! I don't know much about you and Whisper. How did you get that way? You know, like, being able to control the weather and stuff?" Cora finished awkwardly. There were easier ways of starting a conversation.

Delia sat carefully on the fallen palm and she watched as Whisper jumped up to sit beside her. As she listened to Cora, she shuffled her hands in embarresement. "Well, you see." she began. "I was born on a ship. A good ship, called "The Black Pearl". That would be my father's ship. He's awesome! Anyways, my mother, held me up to the sky and said these words over and over again. They sounded like a different kind of launguege. I've never heard of it before. Anyways, clouds flew above us and there was this big flash and the very last words I heard before they dropped me into the water was, "Thank you Cylpso." So, as they dropped me, they dropped Whisper also, as he floated down and landed on my heart and a drop of water hit his and now, I guess that spell caused us to be able to control the water. Then it started raining after my father came back to fetch us. It's a little strange...my grandmother gave me the powers." she told Cora about her story and then she looked at Cora. "What about you? How can you control lightning?" she asked, suddenly interested.

Cora's eyes clouded over. She didn't want to relive her old memories, but it was only fair that she told Delia her story.
"I used to live in a world far different that this one. It was called Earth. I was only a normal human, and my father was a scientist. By that I mean, well, a person who- who studied things to learn about them," she awkwardly explained. "One day, he invited me and my friend Lindsey - Lindsey was a vampire who wanted to give up on her ways - to his labratory. He was working on a big project, one about relocating a pack of wolves that were too close to a city, and was too busy to show us around. So, we explored on our own.
"We found a room that was guarded, and were curious about it, but they wouldn't let us in because it was 'a quarantine project for professionals only'. Lindsey was uneasy around the room, so I snuck back later to get in. inside was a rock with runes on it. The runes - this is hard to believe, and it happened to me! - they spoke to me. The told me to retun the rock. It was from the moon.
"I took the rock and left the room, but on my way to my father's office, I found the kennels that held the wolves. One of them was in a corner, an I heard singing from it. Curious, I went and investigated. Inside was a girl a little younger than myself. She could change in and out of wolf form, and had been captured while she was a wolf. Her name was Emma. Emma Moon."
Cora felt choked up, but she hardened her voice and continued. "I helped her escape. Lindsey and I both. The rock let me have power over electricity to help it get out. When we were free, Emma showed me how to return the rock. I made a critical mistake, though, one that would have wiped out most of the town. Emma - Emma sacrificed herself to fix my mistake. But it left me with these dreadful powers, and an even more dreadful memory. I had to leave my world before I was noticed, but Lindsey chose to stay behind."
When Cora finished, there was a stony silence. Cora dug at the sand with the heel of her foot. She could still see the ship-like smudge on the horizon.

Elle steered her ship in a southwest direction, out of a major storm. She could have sworn she had seen the Dutchman in the storm, but she couldn't be sure. Nothing was sure in these waters.
Since her ship, the Free Spirit, was crewed by unliving portions of hersel, she didn't need to stop and pick up supplies or water. But for the sake of her human first mate, she would land on one of the tiny islands in the area. "Which one, Olivia?" hse asked, holding thewheel steady.
Olivia Jones surveyed the sea. Picking an island, she pointed. "I say dead ahead. That one feels lucky."
Elle nodded. Luck, fate, and superstition were important parts of a sailor's life, particularly a pirate capitan. As she tfine-tuned their direction, she couldn't help but feel drawn to the island herself. But what is here that makes me so nervous?

"It's time to get out of this stupid barrel!" Locke thought. Boats. He hated boats. The seasickness from the rocking back and forth made mincemeat out of the world's premier adventurer, thi- "Treasure Hunter," he reminded himself. Still, it was odd that the treasure he found was actually a portal into an entire different world- or had it just changed the one he lived in again? He couldn't say. Then he climbed onto the deck of the Free Spirit.
There was someone on the wheel. "Isn't it a bad idea to sail in this storm?" He thought. "Oh no, the rocking... Oh well." Then the captain turned around and looked straight at Locke.
"Hello there, I'm- Unnnhhhh...." Then Locke ran over to the edge of the boat and let it all go... Then he walked, almost crawled slowly back in front of the captain of the ship. "Sorry you had to see that! I'm Locke, the world's premier adventurer, seeking treasure wherever it may be and defending those in need! Say... Wouldn't it be a good idea to steer clear of those reefs?" He said as he looked past Elle into the crags right in front of the ship...

Delia listened and then shuffled her hands around.
"Well, lets just say my grandmother gave me these powers because my father was too scared that everyone would want to kill me. 'There aren't many Sparrows that roam the seas.' That's what my father told me when I was young. When, I disappeared." Delia stopped talking and then looked out on the horizen. "Do you see that?" she asked, pointing her finger quickly and sharp at the water's edge. The a gush of water came and splashed the two girls. "Whoops, sorry." she said, slightly embarresed as she put her hands back into her sleeves.

Cora giggled, but got serious when she saw the ship. "Hadn't we better get out of here? If that's a pirate ship, we could be in for trouble." She turned and faced the island's forest. She shivered, imagining getting lost in the thick underbrush. "Stick close," she said, and set off. ======= Elle looked at the man on her ship. She did not approve of men. They made her nervous. "My ship knows what she's doing. Why are you here... Locke? HOw did you get on my ship from the middle of the ocean?" Elle glared at Locke, as if hoping he would vanish in a puff of powder and be blown away. Olivia glanced at Locke, trying not to look too long. Elle promised that her instant crush on any man wasn't contagious, but she didn't want to test it and be sure. She braced herself as the ship took a deck-heaving turn to port, avoiding the reed and landing straight up in the sand. "Welcome to the random paradise island! Please enjoy your stay ladies and-" Olivia saw the look Elle gave Locke, and she hoped that her friend and capitan wouldn't do something awful to the poor man. "-gentlemen. I suppose." Elle turned on her heel and lept over the railing of the ship, landing upright in the sinky sand. Nervous about scaring her new passenger, she only morphed her feet into their norml form, keeping the rest of her body human. "So, who wants to explore?"

Delia nodded and then turned to look at the huge forest. She nodded and grabbed a hold of Cora's arm. "We might want to hold onto one another or something," she whispered as she called for Whisper. "We have to move fast though." she said as she pulled her friend into the forest and watched as the ship moved closer to the land.

Cora grabbed Delia's hand. She was aware that her own hands were sweaty, and whether it was from the humidity or fear, she couldn't tell. "I hear water," she said quietly. "Lets go towards it!" ============= "Oh, I'd love to!" Olivia cried, jumping over the side of the Spirit, but landing with much less grace than her inhuman friend. The ran up the beach, laughing and slipping through the gritty sand. Olivia didn't bother to see if Locke kept up. If he decided to pop up on a ship and didn't feel like exploring an island, than that was his problem! Elle stopped at the edge of the trees. She wasn't too sure about going into the forest. What about the feeling she had earlier? But before she could hesitate much longer, Olivia pulled her into the thick brush. "What fun!" Olivia cried. She was feeling a surge of excitement, almost... but no... A touch of destiny She could hear something crashing through the plants ahead. Suddenly, she wan't so sure. "Elle?" Elle put her free hand on the hilt of her trusty sword, and that was comfort enough to Olivia as she kept pushing onward.

Delia ran faster with her friend and they neared a more shadowy and darker place in the forest. "Which way?" she whispered waringly, seaching through the trees. "I can hear footsteps coming after us!" she whispered frantically.

Cora reached for her dagger, but her hands closed on air. It's still on the Dutchman! she thought. Holding Delia's hand tighter, she took another few paces forward. She gasped as her feet slipped and they both fell in the water. "Well, here it is. Have you got any weapons? We can drive them off with our powers, I guess..."

Delia fell into the water with Cora, and then she swam up and dragged her up with her. They had fallen into a medium-sized, fresh water, waist high pool of water. Delia looked for any weapons that she might have. "I have a dagger, not yours though." she said, as she handed it to Cora. "I'll use my powers to conduct a storm. You can work on your lightning." she said as she fell under water to swirl up the water from under neith. It would help her get a better power over the storm. She swam back up to the surface and then waved her hands around quickly. Storm clouds appeared over the island and she let it rain hard, maybe that would slow them down. "I can control ice and snow too." she called, above all the noise she was producing.

Oliva shivered. She could feel a storm coming. Today had been an interesting day for the weather. It reminded her of when her daughter had been growing up. The weather changed with the little girl's mood, which was quite often. It could get rough on the seas with her and Jack trying to tame the little girl and keep the ship under control. But now her little girl was gone, and she just needed ot worry about herself. She ploughed through the branches, hacking at stems that got in her way. The nervous feeling increased. Something weired was ahead. She took a step - And was doused with water. ========= Cora took the dagger from Delia. "Thanks, mate." She tried again to collect electricity from the air, and she also pulled up the energy that she hadn't used on the Dutchman. She could feel the air energise, and was ready at any moment for teh intruders to find them. Then she heard a muffled " Hey!" from the forest, followed by the sound of rushing water, almost like a waterfall. Cora saw a girl fall into the pond, already soaking wet from the rain and whatever Delia had done to her. Then she saw a terrifying sight - a squirrel-like creature with a thick tail dove into the water after the girl, swinging a sword and yelling a war cry. "Yik, yik, yik, yik-ieee!" Cora let her guard drop for just a second, and then she was attacked, pulled underwater by the creature. In desperation, she let go of all the electricity she had. It escaped with a deafening BOOM and a sun-bright flash of light, then Cora fell unconscious.

Locke had decided to stay on the ship, until two factors effected that decision: one, another storm seemed to be brewing. Locke's stomach couldn't take that much again, and two he heard a distant BOOM, what seemed to be coming from the island's forest. Locke leaped of the ship, landing in a crouched position, then sprinted towards the forest. Once in, he kept going, dodging each tree, until he made it into what appeared to be the other side of the island. Two girls were unconscious, laying there in the sand... Then Locke pulled out an ovular stone... The phoenix magicite. Though destroying Kefka (read the ff6 story if u don't understand) got rid of the magic in the world he knew, he still held onto the stone, in case one day it would return... He held it up in the air, and focused his power into it, whispering "The Flames of Rebirth...". The magicite shone magnificantly, and a large, fiery bird rose up into the sky, burning anything evil on the island into a crisp and raising the two unconscious girls into a fully awake state.
He had succeeded. Guess it was just two more girls he'd protect until their tasks were complete, whatever they were doing. He would help.

Cora awoke sitting beside a girl with long, black hair and pretty sea-black eyes. "Delia!" she said. "What... what just happened?" But it wasn't Delia. This girl was older, and she didn't have a neclace on. Not to mention she was soaking wet. "Who are you?! What happened to Delia?"
The girl smiled. "Delia... my daughter! Where is she?" Cora stood up in amazement. This girl had to be no older than sixteen. WAs it possible for her to have a daughter Delia's age? Maybe they were sisters...
"Who are you?"
"I am Olivia Jones."
